This is the final of my balloon flight video. I chose to depart
from the cycling theme (as this would take far too long), and
simplified my main object as something that didn't have to be
changed 10 times in each frame for the different poses.
The whole animation took about two and half hours to produce,
with about 730 frames in total. I' am glad I've produced this and
can now move away from it.
I' am not entirely pleased with the end result. I found it very
difficult to keep my background moving smoothly and
consistently, which means the animation jutters around far too
much.
This has been a valuable learning experience nonetheless. I've
learnt not to undertake such an over-ambitious animation for
my first one of the module, and to take things easier, producing
more tests.
This animation has also felt like a slight waste of time, after
taking the time to paint the background (which seemed a good
way of introducing my illustration work). Without taking so
much time on this animation I could have moved on much
sooner on to a new technique.
