Animate! Leeds Workshop

This workshop was a welcome revisiting of armature making and
character creation that I had previously learnt but needed
reminding of.

I enjoyed the experience of creating a wire frame,
padding the character's skeleton, applying plasticine and painting
our characters, but I simply didn't feel well enough on the day
to finish the workshop off, so in the end I decided I needed to go
home.

Sadly I missed out on animating my unfinished character (seen
below), but hopefully in the future I can repeat the process
of creating a character for a self directed project later on in
this module.

The main problems I found with the workshop was that we
all had a lack of assistance from the animator and needed guidance
from him even when he was busy assisting other people, leading
us to feel a bit lost with our work. Regardless we all asked for
advice on "what to do next" and managed to complete our
individual characters following a theme of "That's Entertainment!".

I wish I could repeat this opportunity because of my illness at the
time, but this hasn't stopped me from learning useful skills in
building an animated character to take further later on in the
module.

This is my understandably dismal attempt at a skinny alien, but
although I wasn't entirely with this character, I know I can do
better and produce a character more challenging and physically
interesting.
